The SmallRig Cage crafted specifically for Nikon Z 8 featuring the MB-N12 battery grip, model no. 3982, not only serves to protect your camera but also features a robust structure for securing various accessories. Its design is underpinned by an M2.5 screw on either side and a bottom 1/4"-20 screw, incorporating rubber pads to avoid scratches, and offers unrestricted access to buttons, card slot, battery cover, and the reversible screen.
In terms of its accessory securing points, it presents a blend of screw holes - 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16 and the ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes which are suitable for various attachments like top handle 2165 & 1638, side handle 2093 & 2425, monitor mount 2903 & 2904 and Magic Arm 3875. It also has two cold shoe mounts designed for LED video lamp or microphone addition while the Arca Swiss quick-release bottom plate and side plate facilitate both vertical and horizontal shooting on tripods.
The underneath of the SmallRig Cage incorporates an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate which is compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro gimbals, enabling swift switching from handheld to gimbal to tripod modes. The front side reveals two 1/4"-20 thread holes destined for the double 15 mm rod clamp 942, matte box, lens support, and a 1/4"-20 locating hole for the single rod clamp 3276 for focus follower. Included is a double key with a magnetic attribute for effortless assembly and disassembly.
